Dear readers, Nando Media has made the decision to shut down The Nando Times and the SportServer sites effective May 27, 2003, as we continue to build on our successful strategy of supporting and growing our affiliate base. But our newsroom will continue to exist and provide our top-notch news through our affiliate network. The news you've come to expect from us has been and will continue to be readily available through our McClatchy affiliate network. Our news content can be found at any of the following McClatchy web sites: Anchorage Daily News (http://www.adn.com/24hour/sports/) The Nando Times was started in the spring of 1994 by Nando Media, then a unit of The News & Observer. SportServer made its debut shortly thereafter. In 1995, McClatchy acquired The News & Observer and, with it, Nando Media. Since then, Nando has been helping local McClatchy newspapers provide online content through its technology and newsroom. Since early 1997, we've been helping other newspaper companies outside of McClatchy with their interactive efforts, providing content and the technical services that have made The Nando Times and other McClatchy sites so successful.
