Zay Flowers offered a message of support for Lamar Jackson as the Baltimore Ravens quarterback continues working his way back from an ankle injury. Jackson has missed the past two games, leaving Baltimore waiting for its two-time MVP to return.
“He’s working to get back. He’s working every day doing what he needs to do to get back on the field,” Flowers said. “That’s all you can do when you’re injured is do everything you can to get back on the field.”
According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, Flowers made the comments during a media availability as Jackson continues his recovery. Flowers did not provide a timetable for the quarterback’s return.
Jackson injured his ankle during Baltimore’s Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans on Oct. 4. He missed the second half of that game before sitting out the Ravens’ next two contests against the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns.
Before leaving the Titans game, Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 20 yards, showing the dual-threat ability Baltimore has been without during his absence.

The Ravens went 1-1 in their two games without Jackson, beating Atlanta 30-23 in overtime before losing 13-10 to Cleveland. The loss left Baltimore at 4-2, tied with the Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers atop the AFC North entering Week 7.
Jackson’s availability matters as Baltimore prepares to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 25. The Bengals entered the week at 3-2, giving the Ravens another divisional matchup with potential implications for the standings.
Flowers’ comments offered encouragement about Jackson’s commitment to rehabilitation but did not confirm when he would return to practice or play. Head coach Jesse Minter has also declined to provide a firm timetable, leaving Jackson’s progress and participation in practice as the key factors to monitor ahead of Sunday’s game.
