Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy has heard opposing players talk about Kenneth Walker III and what makes the running back different. Their comments have left Worthy appreciating the fact that he does not have to tackle his own teammate.
“I’m like, ‘Shhhh, I ain’t got to tackle him,’” Worthy said, according to Matt Derrick, who shared the comment on X.
The remark came as Walker continued to make an impact in Kansas City’s unbeaten start to the 2026 NFL season. The Chiefs improved to 5-0 with a 22-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, extending their winning streak to five games.
Walker led the way against Los Angeles, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns. His performance helped Kansas City control the game while the defense limited the Chargers to two field goals.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes also completed 23 of 30 passes for 272 yards, giving the Chiefs another productive outing on offense. Worthy contributed seven receptions for 73 yards, leading Kansas City in receiving yards against the Chargers.

The victory kept Kansas City unbeaten and at the top of the AFC West standings. The Denver Broncos stood at 4-2, while the Las Vegas Raiders were 3-3 and the Chargers had fallen to 0-6 through Sunday.
Worthy’s comment also offered a glimpse into the respect Walker has earned from players who face him. Opponents have apparently noticed his running ability, while Worthy can enjoy the results without being responsible for stopping him.
Walker and Worthy give Kansas City different options on offense, with Walker producing on the ground and Worthy contributing as a receiver. Their performances against Los Angeles helped the Chiefs maintain their perfect record as the season continued.
