Tom Brady has found himself in the middle of some unexpected backlash after taking another playful jab at the world of WWE. The legendary quarterback recently doubled down on comments he made while trading words with Logan Paul, jokingly calling wrestling “cute” and suggesting he’d have no trouble competing against WWE stars in just about any sport especially football.
While Brady clearly meant it in a lighthearted, trash-talking way, the remarks didn’t go unnoticed. Several WWE superstars quickly fired back, defending their craft and pushing back against the NFL icon’s comments. What started as a bit of friendly banter has now turned into a back-and-forth between one of football’s greatest players and some of the biggest personalities in professional wrestling.

Tom Brady may have meant it as playful trash talk, but his recent comments about WWE didn’t sit well with several wrestling stars. While speaking at the Fanatics Flag Football Draft, the former NFL quarterback joked about how he’d handle WWE wrestlers trying to sack him on the football field, suggesting they wouldn’t stand much of a chance especially if he had a solid offensive line in front of him. The WWE community did not take these comments well.
WWE Fraternity Gangs up Against Tom Brady
The remarks quickly made their way around social media, and a few WWE personalities decided to respond. Charlotte Flair chimed in with a sarcastic response, pointing out that Brady’s confidence seemed to depend on having plenty of protection. Meanwhile, Danhausen joined the fun with his own tongue-in-cheek warning, joking that a single WWE superstar might be all it takes to deal with the NFL legend.
Others also got in on the exchange, including the Bella Twins, who playfully suggested they’d be more than willing to try their luck against Brady. The back-and-forth adds another chapter to Brady’s ongoing banter with Logan Paul, who he has been trading jabs with in recent days.
Brady’s latest appearance comes as part of the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, a star-studded exhibition that brings together current NFL players, former legends, and a few celebrity personalities for a fun competition.
Tom Brady will captain one of the teams alongside Jalen Hurts, going up against a squad led by Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels. The event features a round-robin format and even includes the U.S. men’s national flag football team, the reigning world champions. Fans can catch the action live on Fox Sports or stream it online, with kickoff scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
