For the first time since the turn of the century, the New York Knicks are in the NBA Finals. And while there's still work for them to do before ending their five-decade drought without an NBA title, WWE superstar Danhausen is already taking credit for ending the "curse" that has plagued the team for decades.

Danhausen has made a name for himself by "cursing" the Knicks at various intervals throughout the playoffs. The WWE superstar famously cursed the team at the start of the playoffs after a nasty exchange with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, then reversed it after the Knicks fell into a 2-1 hole against the Hawks. They haven't lost since.

After the Knicks beat the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals (another team he cursed during a promo with WWE rival The Miz), Danhausen took to X with a Knicks towel and proudly proclaimed that he had "uncursed" the franchise entirely.

SportsCenter was more than happy to highlight some of the moments where Danhausen took full credit for the Knicks' recent run of success.

Incidentally, Knicks megastar Jalen Brunson (who has now entered the conversation of greatest Knick of the 21st century) is a big fan of WWE. He hasn't acknowledged Danhausen's "uncursing" yet, but he is a big fan of superstar Roman Reigns.

Knicks in the Finals

The Knicks are currently on a winning streak that is unlike anything in the history of basketball. Their postseason run has been so dominant that it exceeds the accomplishments of some of the all-time great teams led by the likes of Michael Jordan, Shaq & Kobe, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, LeBron James and Steph Curry.

They've been so good that Brunson has gotten to take the fourth quarter off in all three of their clinch games against the Hawks, 76ers and Cavs.

They're still going to be underdogs against whoever comes out of the Western Conference, but they'll begin the NBA Finals as well-prepared as any team can possibly be under such circumstances.
