WWE SmackDown will be live tonight from Albany, New York, with Adam Pearce serving as acting General Manager following Nick Aldis' confrontation with Gunther at the end of last week's show.
As of Friday afternoon, WWE has yet to announce any matches for tonight's show, but Pearce posted a mini preview on his personal Instagram account stating that he will have plenty to address. The ongoing conflict involving Gunther, Sami Zayn, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Aldis figures to be the main story heading into the night.
With SummerSlam just over two weeks away, WWE will also need to continue building out the card for its biggest event of the summer. That makes tonight's SmackDown an important stop on the road to Minneapolis, even without any matches officially announced in advance.

When Is Saturday Night's Main Event?
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event takes place tomorrow night, Saturday, July 18, live from Madison Square Garden in New York City. The show will feature CM Punk and Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther and Sami Zayn, Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh, WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Brie Bella and Paige defending their titles against Fatal Influence, and Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria.
Roman Reigns is also set to appear in a special segment alongside NBA champion and 2026 Finals MVP Jalen Brunson, capping off a star-studded Fanatics Fest weekend in New York City.
