WWE is teasing chaos for the March 27 episode of SmackDown with a headline that practically promises it: “Who will Randy Orton attack next?” The phrasing on the official preview all but confirms that Orton is set to strike again.
Last week, Orton blindsided Matt Cardona—one of Cody Rhodes’ so-called “five” real friends. Cardona also happens to be the latest guest on “What Do You Wanna Talk About?”, an episode filmed before Orton’s heel turn, showcasing their friendship.
Rhodes himself is slated to return to SmackDown. WWE announced his appearance during last week’s broadcast, though it’s notably absent from the official preview page—likely a deliberate move to preserve the surprise.

WWE SmackDown Preview — March 27, 2026
SmackDown airs on USA Network at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT. The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh will play host.
Alongside Orton and Rhodes, several key matches and segments are scheduled:
- Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will take on The Bella Twins in a match that appears to be laying the groundwork for a multi-team Women’s Tag Team Title bout at WrestleMania.
- Nick Aldis is expected to provide an update on the conditions of Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre.
- Jelly Roll is advertised to face Kit Wilson. A straightforward singles match seems unlikely this close to WrestleMania, suggesting further storyline developments instead.
- Giulia will battle Tiffany Stratton in a non-title match, likely serving as a precursor to a Women’s United States Championship clash during WrestleMania weekend.
- Jade Cargill, alongside Michin and B-Fab—dubbed by Cargill as “The Takeover”—will appear, with Rhea Ripley looming as a threat as she seeks retribution.
