Although no matches have been announced, WWE has confirmed several major appearances for the first episode following the company's biggest event of the summer, setting the stage for new rivalries and championship storylines.
Unless WWE adds another Premium Live Event beforehand, the next one on the calendar is Money in the Bank in October. World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is set to appear after defeating Seth Rollins in Sunday's emotional SummerSlam main event. While he'll undoubtedly celebrate another successful title defense, Reigns also has family matters to address after The Bloodline fell in Sunday's Six-Man Tag Team Match, leaving questions about what's next for the Tribal Chief and his faction.
Fresh off his career-defining Hell in a Cell victory over Brock Lesnar, Oba Femi will also appear tonight. After receiving the torch from Lesnar on one of WWE's biggest stages, "The Ruler" returns as King of the Ring, still holding a guaranteed world championship match that could be confirmed tonight on Raw.
Another headline attraction is the advertised return of Big Cass, marking his first WWE appearance in years. How WWE reintroduces the former superstar—and what role he'll play moving forward—should be among the night's biggest talking points.
