WWE Raw heads to Buffalo, New York, tonight with an Intercontinental Championship match and the continuation of the AAA World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament.
Chad Gable defends the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio, while Dragon Lee, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Rey Fenix and El Fiscal compete in tournament action. Sol Ruca will also face Lyra Valkyria.
Beyond the announced matches, Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6 is beginning to take shape, with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at the center of one of Raw’s biggest developing stories.

Jey Uso has promised to deliver Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns, potentially setting up a defining babyface moment for Solo, one of WWE's breakout stars of the summer. Circling around this segment is LA Knight, who had a disappointing appearance on Raw last week but remains in pursuit of Reigns' World Heavyweight Championship.
Other Things to Watch on WWE Raw
WWE has begun teasing a future showdown between Bron Breakker and Oba Femi. I appreciate the way WWE has approached this, with Breakker's on-screen character acknowledging some of the backstage fumbling around his 2026 presentation. I hope WWE does not rush this. The seeds are being planted for the first of what could be many meaningful, generation-defining showdowns between Breakker and Femi.
With Breakker moving toward Femi, Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri continue to emerge as the centerpiece members of The Vision. It will also be interesting to see where Logan Paul goes after returning to in-ring action. WWE still has one of the biggest personalities in the world on its roster and has yet to fully capitalize on the heat he can generate.
The Women's World Championship picture is crowded as well, with Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer all circling the title. WWE has several compelling directions it could take the division heading into September.
