Why King & Queen of the Ring Tournament Matters
The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are about more than crowns and bragging rights. The winners earn world championship matches at SummerSlam, and historically the tournament has served as a launching pad for rising stars and a way to reinvigorate established veterans. Hall of Famers such as Booker T, Triple H, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are among the most notable King of the Ring winners, while Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill are the most recent winners.
