WWE 2K26 received a new update today, as Patch 1.06 rolls out with a focus on stability improvements while developers confirm a larger Update 1.07 is already in progress. The patch is live across platforms and aims to address ongoing performance issues, with more substantial fixes expected in the next major release.

According to the official WWE Games X account, “The team is also hard at work on the next major update (1.07) coming soon that addresses a variety of items across multiple game modes.”
That context matters, because WWE 2K26 has faced growing criticism since launch.
Early player feedback after launch reports pointed to a mix of technical issues and frustration with progression systems. Much of that criticism has centered around the game’s monetization model—specifically the Ringside Pass system.
Players have pushed back on what many describe as a “pay-then-grind” structure, where content is locked behind both purchase and extended playtime, or additional spending.
Patch 1.06 doesn’t directly address monetization concerns, but it does signal that the developers are actively working to stabilize the experience while preparing more meaningful updates. Early improvements are expected to reduce crashes and smooth out gameplay across multiple modes.
In addition to the patch, developer Brian Mazique shared new details on MyFaction adjustments, including extended event timelines and upcoming content changes. Mazique outlined several changes aimed at improving MyFaction pacing.
Ultimate Challenge and Ultimate Challenge Elite are being extended through April 22, giving players more time to obtain required cards. All UC and UCE events will now run for 30 days, and required cards are expected to appear on the card market.
Additional updates include a new spin coming to Locker Room Leader in April, along with encore events for Me vs. Me, Next Gen, YaddaaMean!, and Dark Monarchs.
For now, this update feels like a necessary reset—getting the game into a more stable state before larger changes arrive.
The focus now shifts to Update 1.07.
If that patch delivers meaningful improvements across core modes and responds to player concerns around progression and monetization, it could help shift the conversation.
