The Kansas City Chiefs topped the Denver Broncos, 31-10, in ESPN’s first “Monday Night Football” game of the year.
The Chiefs, who missed the playoffs in 2025, bounced back in a major way at the start of the 2026 season. Kansas City looked like a legitimate contender atop the AFC in Week 1. Denver, meanwhile, struggled after reaching the AFC Championship Game last season.
Prior to kickoff, a “stunning” NFL reporter went viral on the sideline.
“Can’t believe the NFL let the Chiefs get a running back,” the NFL reporter wrote, showing off her outfit.
The NFL reporter is Michaela Bennett. She’s a Kansas City-based journalist with more than 13,000 followers on X.
“I hate when people say ‘Oh you want to be the next Erin Andrews?’ No, I want to be THE FIRST Michaela Bennett,” she previously posted on X.
Erin Andrews respects it: “Ok ok!! Respecting.”
The NFL sideline reporter seemed to enjoy Kansas City’s win over Denver on Monday evening.
The Chiefs have a long season ahead of them, of course, but it was certainly a strong start to the year for Kansas City.
Denver, meanwhile, clearly has work to do.
