World Cup fans attending Sunday afternoon's final match between Spain and Argentina are planning to boo the U.S. national anthem.
The national anthems of both Spain and Argentina will be played before kickoff on Sunday. However, since it is the final match, with President Donald J. Trump in attendance, the U.S. national anthem could be played, too.
President Trump confirmed earlier this week that he will be in attendance and will likely give out the World Cup Trophy on stage, following the match.
“We will be together with the president, enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together,” FIFA President Mr. Infantino said. “We are together all the time.”

But the U.S. isn't exactly beloved by other countries right now.
Several Spain and Argentina fans have taken to social media to announce that they will be booing the U.S. national anthem, if it's played inside of Metlife Stadium on Sunday.

"Spanish brothers who are going to watch the match in person, before you kill us on the court, I ask that we unite to boo when this anthem plays in our final," one fan wrote.
"As an American I'm booing and proudly. This is pathetic. Respect the traditions. This is a trash decision," one fan added.
"I dont get why we need to listen usa anthem when the usa team is not in the final. I hope everyone will boo the usa anthem," one fan added.
"If the whole stadium doesn't boo that anthem from start to finish I'll be so disappointed," another fan added.
FIFA, meanwhile, has confirmed that the U.S. national anthem will be played. It will be performed by Jennifer Hudson.
The final World Cup match is set to begin at 3 p.m. E.T. on Sunday.
