DiJonai Carrington is not the only Chicago Sky player set to be punished by the WNBA as a result of Saturday's game against the Indiana Fever.
Carrington was ejected late in the first quarter of the game after her hard foul on Sophie Cunningham. The hit was upgraded to a Flagrant 2 foul, which carries a $1,000 fine.
Following Carrington's ejection, Natasha Cloud got in trouble with the referees as well in the fourth quarter. It came after the veteran guard complained to game officials following Azura Stevens' offensive foul.
Speaking to pool reporter Alissa Hirsh of Chicago Sun-Times, crew chief Maj Forsberg explained that Cloud was assessed a technical foul because "her reactions in response to a call made against a teammate exceeded the respect of the game guidelines."

Cloud now has six technical fouls on the season, which puts her in line to pay a $1,000 fine as well. As the WNBA rules state, a player's first three technical fouls each carry a $500 fine, while the fourth through seventh techs are punishable by a $1,000 fine each.
The 34-year-old Cloud will need to be extra careful, though. Once a player reaches eight techs, they pay a $1,500 fine and receive a one-game suspension.
Cloud has gotten four technical fouls in the past month alone, so the current trend is concerning for her. She's averaging 10.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game for the Sky, and they really need her on the court as they try to keep their playoff hopes alive.
