Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark got in trouble with WNBA officials once again following an incident involving her former teammate.
In Game 3 of their first-round WNBA playoff series against the Las Vegas Aces, the Fever jumped to a 12-6 lead in the first three minutes of play. However, there was some commotion at the 6:54 mark involving Clark and Aces forward Brianna Turner.
After the referees called a personal foul on Lexie Hull, the Fever players on the court gathered together to talk. However, Turner — who played for the Fever alongside Clark in 2025 — joined the huddle.

Clark, for her part, was not happy with what Turner did and proceeded to push her away to get her out of the huddle. The action led to offsetting technical fouls for the two players.
According to the WNBA rules, a player’s first two technical fouls in the playoffs are punishable by a $500 fine. It was Clark’s second tech of the postseason so far after also getting one during Game 2 of the series with the Aces on Tuesday.
For what it’s worth, Clark has been critical of the officiating in the WNBA playoffs, as she even fouled out in Game 2 in addition to receiving a technical foul. Following Tuesday’s win, she told reporters that the referees struggled and were really inconsistent.
“It’s just so inconsistent. And you call an offensive foul on me and then I’m getting hit the same way on the defensive end and it’s a foul on me. It doesn’t make sense,” Clark stated. “They just have to be better. It’s the playoffs. Either call it all the time or don’t. But be consistent.”
With Clark’s latest tech, the conversation about officiating in the playoffs should only intensify.
