Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings kept their season alive on Wednesday night, tying the first-round series up at one apiece after a 108-100 overtime win over Gabby Williams and the Golden State Valkyries in Game 2 of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs. Now, the Wings will look to advance to the semifinals when they face the Valkyries in Game 3 on Friday.
Ogunbowale had arguably the best game of her WNBA career in Game 2 against Golden State. The former Notre Dame guard tallied a career-high (regular season or playoffs) of 45 points on 12-of-23 shooting, seven rebounds and four assists. And Ogunbowale not only scored a career high, but set the record for the most points in a single WNBA playoff game.
The Wings star broke the previous record of 42 points, which was held by three players, including Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier (2024), former Seattle Storm forward Breanna Stewart (2022) and Atlanta Dream great Angel McCoughtry (2010).

However, while it was a historic night for her, Ogunbowale will likely be receiving a fine from the WNBA following Game 2. With 2:26 remaining in overtime, Ogunbowale and Valkyries’ Tiffany Hayes were fighting for a rebound before the Dallas guard got tossed to the floor. Ogunbowale took exception to this and pushed Hayes by the throat, before they were quickly separated.
After reviewing the incident, the officials ruled that both Ogunbowale and Hayes received Flagrant 1 fouls. And since it was just a Flagrant 1 on both of them, Ogunbowale and Hayes will both be handed $500 fines from the WNBA, along with one flagrant point.
Typically, WNBA players are fined $500 for a Flagrant 1 foul in the playoffs and receive one flagrant point. A Flagrant 2 doubles the fine to $1,000, adds two flagrant points, and results in an ejection. If a player accumulates four flagrant points during a single postseason, they are suspended for one game.
Ogunbowale and the Wings will take on the Valkyries in Game 3 on Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
