After starting the 2026 season 12-4, the Atlanta Dream have now lost four straight games and fallen to 12-8. They most recently lost to the Washington Mystics, 81-76.
Rhyne Howard finished with 24 points and four steals, while Allisha Gray added 17 points, four rebounds and three steals. Angel Reese was also sensational with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Shakira Austin led the way for Washington with 21 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, while Kiki Iriafen recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Making matters worse for the Dream, Reese picked up another technical foul in the loss, increasing her season total to six.

The referees assessed Reese a tech in the third quarter after she scored a tough layup over Austin. The Mystics center was initially called for a foul on the Dream star during the play, but after the Mystics challenged the call and the officials reviewed it, the foul was overturned.
Instead, the referees hit Reese with a tech for flailing her arm in an unnatural motion and striking Austin in the face.
According to the WNBA's rules, Reese will be fined $1,000 for the technical foul. The first three technical fouls each carry a $500 fine, while the fourth through seventh each carry a $1,000 fine.
Reese also received a warning letter from the WNBA after she reached her fifth technical foul since she's now nearing the technical foul limit. If she reaches eight technical fouls, she will have to pay a $1,500 fine and be suspended for one game.
Unfortunately for Reese, considering her current pace, there's a high likelihood that she'll reach the limit.
