Sophie Cunningham isn't waiting until the start of the 2026 WNBA season to go make headlines.
Although she's been in the WNBA since 2019, Cunningham didn't really become a household name until last season. Her move from the Phoenix Mercury to the Indiana Fever led to her gaining countless followers on TikTok and Instagram.
Cunningham's popularity reached new heights last June after she committed a flagrant 2 foul on former Connecticut Sun guard Jacy Sheldon. This was her way of retaliating for a hard foul on Caitlin Clark.
While she might be fierce on the hardwood, Cunningham isn't afraid to let loose when she's away from the competition.

On Tuesday night, Cunningham posted swimsuit photos on Instagram along with this caption: "haven't worn makeup in a week and my driving style fits in perfectly with the locals."
These photos of Cunningham received over 23,000 likes in just an hour.
"Omg you’re GLOWING," one fan said.
"Don’t need the makeup ..you are perfect," an Instagram user wrote.
"Wow...My goodness," another fan commented.
Will Sophie Cunningham return to the Fever?
Cunningham, an unrestricted free agent, will be allowed to negotiate with WNBA teams on April 9. She'll be eligible to sign a contract three days later.
Fever fans would love for Cunningham to re-sign with the team, especially after she averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game last season.
The Fever also have to make sure they retain Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull. Although the salary cap will increase to $7 million for the 2026 season, there's a chance one of the veteran guards on the team gets left out.
