Angel Reese took on a new role right after Team USA’s gold medal triumph at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup.
The Atlanta Dream star showed her TikTok expertise as the squad celebrated their gold medal. Reese took on the responsibility of directing the national team’s TikTok video inside the locker room after their 97-79 victory over France in the gold medal match on Sunday.
The WNBA shared some behind-the-scenes footage showing Reese giving her teammates instructions as they shot their celebratory video. The league also announced the three-time All-Star’s new title.
“Angel, the World Champ AND TikTok director 🎬🥇,” the post’s caption read.
Even though Reese logged only nine minutes in the final against France, she still made every second count. She finished with three points, three rebounds and a block, while also bringing her energy and hustle to the court.
The seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft finished the tournament with averages of 7.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 15.0 minutes per game off the bench.
Following her stint on the international stage, Reese will now return with the Dream in the WNBA to continue her historic season.
The Dream are currently in fourth place in the league standings with a 26-14 record, with four games remaining in the regular season.
Reese and Co. are looking to maximize these games to possibly finish with the most favorable position heading into the postseason. With Reese now on the roster, Atlanta is looking to end its current streak of three consecutive first-round playoff exits.
