Kelsey Mitchell and the Indiana Fever are now 21-12 on the season after defeating Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty 106-92 on Tuesday. Stewart and guard Sabrina Ionescu combined for a team-high 19 points, with New York center Jonquel Jones hauling in a game-high 10 rebounds.
Guard Caitlin Clark scored 22 points in a game-high 35 minutes played while dishing a game-high 10 assists. Mitchell was electric for Indiana, scoring a game-high 28 points on an efficient 11-for-16 shooting from the field, including a perfect 4-for-4 performance from beyond the arc.
The Fever are now in first place in the Eastern Conference and in fourth place overall in the 2026 WNBA playoff standings.

After the game, the WNBA went to the social media website X to react to Mitchell extending her scoring streak of 20-plus points to 17 games, an all-time league record for a single season.

On the season, the former No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft is averaging 24.2 points per game, second in the league behind Las Vegas Aces superstar center A'ja Wilson's 26.3. The Princeton High School graduate is fourth in the league in 3-pointers made per game at 2.9 and is fifth in the WNBA in 3-point percentage at 43.5%.
Indiana will host Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
