WNBA star Caitlin Clark led the Indiana Fever to an epic 110-107 win over the Seattle Storm on Friday. Even better, she achieved a statistical feat that no other player in the league has done before.
After leading by as many as 17 points in the first half, the Fever found themselves down by eight with 5:23 left to play in the fourth quarter. Fortunately for Indiana, Clark stepped up in a big way and scored 15 points after that to turn things around and help the team secure the victory.
Clark finished with a career-high and franchise-record 45 points. She also recorded two rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and two blocks.

With that, she became the first player ever to record a 40-point, 10-assist game in WNBA history.
As the Fever and the basketball world celebrated Clark's latest milestone, the WNBA made sure to congratulate Clark and express its amazement over what she had just accomplished.
"SHE’S BUILT DIFFERENT," the WNBA said about Clark immediately after the Fever's win. "Caitlin Clark becomes the first player in WNBA History to record 40+ points and 10+ assists in a game!"
Sure enough, fans were ecstatic as well, with many commending Clark in the comments section of the WNBA's post.
"What a player," a fan wrote. Another one said, "Let’s go Caitlin. MY GOAT. 45 and 10 assist first game in wnba history to do that! Where yeh hater at??"
"Insane performance! What they gonna say now," a poster added.
A supporter stated, "Elite!"
"Dropped 45 on minute restriction. What a beast," a fifth social media user stated.
For what it's worth, the WNBA shared several other posts to highlight Clark's performance. In one post, the league highlighted the other records she set in the game.
"A HISTORIC PERFORMANCE BY CAITLIN CLARK," the WNBA added. "She recorded 45 PTS (career-high), 10 AST, 6 3PM, 4 STL & 2 BLKS to log the first 40+ points and 10+ assists stat line in a game in WNBA History! She also became the fastest player to reach 200 career three pointers and the first in Fever franchise history to score 45+ points in a game!"
