Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever looked to keep their winning streak alive on Sunday, facing Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena (Atlanta). The Fever are coming off a 98-87 win over the Dallas Wings on Friday, their third straight win, which moved them to 22-12 in the 2026 WNBA season.
During the Fever vs. Wings matchup, Clark was able to make some WNBA history. Going into the game, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star had totaled 690 assists during her three-year WNBA career.
And with 1:21 remaining in that game, Clark hit Kelsey Mitchell for a 3-foot layup, marking her 10th and final assist of the night, along with the 700th of her career. Clark also added 29 points on 11-of-18 shooting and three rebounds.

In doing so, Clark became the fastest player in league history to reach 700 assists. The previous record holder was former Sacramento Monarchs guard Ticha Penicheiro, who took 94 games to achieve this feat, reaching 700 assists in 2001.
Right behind them are ex-New York Liberty star Teresa Wheatherspoon (109 games), Seattle Storm legend Sue Bird (118) and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu (120).
Ahead of the game against the Dream, Clark was once again seen signing autographs for fans at State Farm Arena. And just before Sunday's game, the WNBA shared a video of the moment on social media, while celebrating the milestone Clark reached against the Wings.
"The Clark effect ✨," the WNBA wrote on X. "Caitlin is embracing her fans before she and the @IndianaFever take on the Dream. She recently became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 700 career assists and is looking to build off that momentum!"
Following the Dream game, Clark and the Fever will be back in action on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. ET, facing Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo.
