The Indiana Fever duo of Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell were at it again Tuesday, powering Indiana past the Toronto Tempo 101-95 for its fifth consecutive victory.
Mitchell finished with a game-high 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting, while Clark added 24 points and seven assists as the two guards once again carried a significant share of Indiana’s offense.
Tuesday’s achievement further strengthened the MVP cases for both Fever stars. Mitchell is averaging 24.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 50.7% from the field and 44.3% from three, while Clark is putting up 22.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game. Both rank top three in scoring across the WNBA and have been crucial to Indiana’s 24-12 record this season.

Their latest performances also produced a piece of WNBA history. Clark and Mitchell became the first duo in league history to each score at least 20 points in the same game 16 times in a single season.
The duo surpassed the previous mark of 15 set by Phoenix Mercury legends Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter in 2008.
While the Fever secured another win, there was some concern surrounding Mitchell during Tuesday’s game. She did not finish the game after becoming overheated and leaving for the locker room. However, Fever coach Stephanie White eased those concerns afterward, telling reporters all indications were that Mitchell was fine.
The Fever will need both stars again Thursday when they visit the Dallas Wings. Indiana and Dallas have split their first two meetings this season, and Clark and Mitchell can help their team clinch the regular-season series.
