The spotlight will be on Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson when she faces the Indiana Fever this Thursday.
During the fourth quarter of Game 2 between the Aces and Fever, Wilson received a technical foul for confronting a fan at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever, however, said the fan didn’t violate their code of conduct.
“I think there’s a certain etiquette that both players and fans need to abide by, but clearly there’s something that gets- the lines get crossed, and it seems to happen here,” Aces coach Becky Hammon told reporters after the game. “I’m not, I mean, like I said, I don’t, I can’t speak specifically to what was said or what was done, but I could speak to the character of our players and stuff that they deal with and, you know, the disrespect, whether that’s a word or an action, a gesture should be addressed appropriately.”
Technically speaking, Wilson violated the WNBA’s rule that states players are subject to an ejection if they deliberately enter the stands “other than as a continuance of play.” For that reason alone, fans have been wondering if she’ll face some form of discipline from the league.
According to Annie Costabile of The Athletic, the WNBA has determined that Wilson won’t face any fine or penalty for her role in Tuesday night’s altercation.

Will A’ja Wilson dominate Game 3?
Wilson was outstanding in Game 1, scoring 38 points and grabbing 16 rebounds in a blowout win at home. She wasn’t as productive in Game 2, but she had 22 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
If the Aces are goping to defeat the Fever this Thursday night, Wilson has to be the best player on the hardwood.
Tipoff for Game 3 between the Fever and Aces is set for 9 p.m. ET on USA Network.
