Unfortunately, this Thursday night's showdown between the New York Liberty and the Dallas Wings has been postponed.
There was plenty of hype surrounding tonight's matchup, especially since the Liberty (13-11) and Wings (16-8) could end up meeting in the playoffs later this year. That being said, fans will have to wait until Monday to see them square off.
It turns out the Liberty-Wings game was postponed due to issues with New York's charter flight.
"The WNBA game between the New York Liberty and the Dallas Wings, originally scheduled at 8:00 p.m. CT (9:00 p.m. ET) has been postponed due to travel delays caused by mechanical issues with the New York Liberty's charter flight," the league said in a press release. "The game has been rescheduled for Monday, July 20, at 7:00 p.m. CT (8:00 p.m. ET). The Dallas Wings will honor all tickets purchased for the original game date."

The series has leaned in Dallas' favor.
When the Liberty and Wings met on July 7, Paige Bueckers and Jessica Shepard powered Dallas to an 88-77 win. That duo also stepped up during their 91-76 win over New York on May 24.
The Liberty would love to get on the board against the Wings this upcoming Monday.
As of this moment, Dallas is fourth in the WNBA standings. New York currently sits at eighth, but only trails the fifth seed by a game.
