Does Caitlin Clark’s attitude make her tough to watch?
The third-year WNBA guard was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She’s been an All-Star in three straight years. The Fever, 24-14 on the year, have emerged as a serious contender in the WNBA this year.
But Clark is often criticized for showing poor composure on the floor, complaining to refs, lashing out at coaches and more.
Sports writer Jay Caspian Kang believes that while Clark is a great player, she’s difficult to watch because of her attitude.

Kang made his thoughts clear.
“Alright can we all just be normal and agree Caitlin Clark is somewhere between the 3rd to 5th best player in the WNBA behind Aja and Miles and in a group w Paige and Phee but that she’s also pretty rough to watch sometimes bc attitude. *bangs gavel,” he shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I haven’t watched too much W this season so just coming in kinda fresh and as a CC fan… her antics on the court are pretty astonishing. Let’s be real lol it’s not just bc the game is called differently or her coach hates her. You ppl are insane if you think zero is on her.”
WNBA fans react to the statement
“I think she’s a bit lower than that even and I am not a hater. She’s an incredible cutter and obviously shooter. Just there’s a ton of talent in the league right now and she has a lot to improve on both with her game and her attitude which was very detrimental to this game,” one fan wrote.
“She’s legit a top 3 contender for MVP. But the constant whining is so painful to watch. If Miles faced the defense CC does she’d be held to 5ppg,” one fan added.
“Most people arguing for her don’t even watch. She is good but yeah I have her just outside top 5,” one fan added.
“Valid. Might be a little early on Miles but she has been impressive so far,” another fan wrote.
Clark and the Fever, meanwhile, are set to take on the Chicago Sky at 7 p.m. E.T. on Sunday night. The game will air on NBC.
