Sophie Cunningham has become such a divisive topic in the WNBA world, that her name has actually been "banned" on the league's unaffiliated subreddit.
The Indiana Fever guard, who is in her second year with the team, has become an incredibly polarizing figure, following her comments on transgender athletes in women's sports.
Sophie Cunningham's name has actually been banned on the r/WNBA message board. A moderator on the r/WNBA subreddit confirmed that posts to the subreddit using Sophie Cunningham's name are being filtered out because it "tends to bring out trolls and people who aren't fans of the W."
The WNBA has no affiliation with the r/WNBA page.
"The WNBA does not moderate or have any affiliation with the r/WNBA subreddit," a league spokesperson told The Spun in a statement.

Cunningham sparked a lot of controversy earlier this summer, when she spoke out against transgender athletes.
In ESPN article, Cunningham said that she wanted to “protect young girls in the locker room” and that “they shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”
“I said what I said. I think it’s kind of common sense,” Cunningham said. “And I think I’ll always believe in that. I think it’s really important to protect children, and that’s little girls who are also involved in that category. I stand on what I said.”
