USA Basketball has officially unveiled its 12-player roster for the 2026 FIBA World Cup, and as you'd expect, some fans aren't thrilled about the national squad's personnel.
Five-time Olympic gold medalist and Team USA managing director Sue Bird unveiled the 2026 roster this Thursday. This year's team will be headlined by Caitlin Clark, Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson.
Team USA will also include Aliyah Boston, Paige Bueckers, Napheesa Collier, Kahleah Cooper, Chelsea Gray, Rhyne Howard, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese and Jackie Young.
"It's great to have a team and to have a roster," USA coach Kara Lawson said in a statement. "It's been a long process to whittle it down to 12 players, and I think that speaks to just the talent we have in our country across the board. These 12 have earned it through their play and their consistency. I couldn't be more excited about working with each of them, and I've had good experience with each of them... I know what they're capable of, and I know that this is a group that's ready for the challenges that are ahead."

Who should've made the roster?
Judging by the responses online, WNBA fans aren't thrilled about about Sabrina Ionescu, Olivia Miles and Kelsey Mitchell missing the cut.
"The fact that Kelsey Mitchell is not on this list, nor will she ever presumably be on ANY Team USA list, is a travesty by the way," one fan commented.
"No Olivia Miles or Sabrina Ionescu," a second fan pointed out.
"No Kelsey Mitchell is crazy," a third fan wrote on X.
"So we’re taking Chelsea Gray over Olivia Miles, Citron and Allisha Gray????? Gotta be kidding me," another fan replied.
Ionescu might be the most notable absence since she was on Team USA for the 2024 Olympics.
The FIBA World Cup will run from Sept. 4-13 in Berlin, Germany. The U.S. will face China in its opening game.
