Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese is just one technical foul away from being suspended by the WNBA.
Reese entered Thursday's game against the Seattle Storm averaging 14.9 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals. She's undoubtedly one of the most important pieces for Atlanta, alongside Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray.
However, the 24-year-old forward has struggled with officiating this season. While her production has been remarkable, she has also accumulated several technical fouls and flagrant points.
Sure enough, against the Storm, that trend continued. Midway through the second quarter, Reese was assessed a technical foul after arguing a missed call. The Dream forward thought she was fouled while attacking the basket, but no foul was called and play continued.

The problem now is that the tech was Reese's seventh of the season, which puts her one technical foul away from a one-game suspension. As the WNBA rules state, a player's eighth tech carries a $1,500 fine and an automatic one-game suspension.
For now, Reese will have to pay a $1,000 fine for her seventh tech. But, she certainly needs to be more careful about her actions toward the referees.
Aside from the one-game suspension that comes with an eighth tech, every other technical foul after that results in a suspension. That means players will also get suspended if they reach their 10th, 12th and subsequent even-numbered technical fouls.
It's worth noting that Reese has two flagrant points as well. The flagrant point limit is four, and once a player reaches that number, they will also receive a one game suspension.
