The Josh Jacobs situation for the Green Bay Packers might not be resolved anytime soon.
Earlier this year, Jacobs was detained by the authorities in Wisconsin on five charges, including felony strangulation, a misdemeanor count of assault and intimidation of a victim. It was later reported that Jacobs’ charges were reduced by the Brown County District Attorney’s Office to two misdemeanors.
The complaint stated that a woman, who identified as Jacobs’ girlfriend, noticed he was talking to other women on his phone. After she allegedly threw his phone, the Pro Bowl running back grabbed her arm and went through her own phone. She accused him of striking her in the head while she was trying to leave his garage.
A police officer “observed redness to [her] face and neck and was able to feel that she had a bump on the back of her head” The authorities also said there’s surveillance footage from the garage where some of this altercation took place.
According to Danielle Lerner of USA Today, the Wisconsin police are “temporarily withholding” a video of Jacobs that could help the league’s investigation.

What does this mean for Josh Jacobs?
Jacobs, who has rushed for 2,258 yards and 28 touchdowns since joining the Packers, is currently on the commissioner exempt list.
“We have been closely monitoring all developments in the matter which remains under review of the personal conduct policy. There is no change to his status as he remains on the Commissioner’s Exempt list,” NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said prior to Week 1.
Even though Jacobs has pleaded no contest to his charges, a suspension hasn’t been handed out yet.
The NFL has not announced a timeline for a final decision on Jacobs.
