AEW star Will Ospreay had a message for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson ahead of his biggest night at Wembley Stadium.
“The Aerial Assassin” appeared on “ITV’s Good Morning Britain” on Thursday alongside comedian Jack Whitehall to promote AEW All In. During the conversation, Whitehall spoke about meeting The Rock before joking that they probably shouldn’t talk about “The Final Boss” because ‘he works for the other side.’
A host then asked, “For WWE?”
Will Ospreay quickly jumped in with his response:
“Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s never main evented Wembley Stadium.”
The comment came just three days before Ospreay is scheduled to headline Wembley Stadium himself. He will challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All In on Sunday.
The remark was made in a lighthearted exchange, but Ospreay’s timing made it stand out. The Rock has competed at some of WWE’s biggest shows during his career and has performed in the United Kingdom several times. However, he has never closed a wrestling event at Wembley Stadium.
Will Ospreay Heads Into His First Wembley Main Event
“The Aerial Assassin” earned his place in the All In main event by winning the 2026 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Kenny Omega enters the match as AEW World Champion after defeating MJF for the title at Beach Break.
The championship match will also be the third singles meeting between Ospreay and Omega. Their rivalry began with two highly regarded matches, and they will now settle the latest chapter on AEW’s biggest stage.
Ospreay’s path to Wembley has not been straightforward. He spent much of 2025 on the sidelines after undergoing neck surgery to repair three herniated discs. He returned to competition earlier than expected before eventually winning the Owen Hart Cup and earning another opportunity at the AEW World Championship.
This will be Will Ospreay’s third All In appearance at Wembley, following victories over Chris Jericho in 2023 and MJF in 2024.
Now, the 33-year-old star has the chance to add an even bigger moment to his Wembley history. And before he even steps through the ropes, Ospreay has already given fans another reason to talk about his main event.
