The MLS All-Stars will take on the Liga MX All-Stars tonight in the 2026 MLS All-Star Game.
The match brings together some of the best players from both leagues, but Robert Lewandowski will not be on the field for the MLS side.
The Polish striker recently arrived in Major League Soccer after joining the Chicago Fire. His move came late in the selection period, leaving him with very little time to make an impression before the All-Star squad was finalized.
Lewandowski has already made his debut for Chicago, but he had played just one league match when the roster was locked in.
So, why is one of the biggest names in MLS missing from the game?
Why Isn't Robert Lewandowski Playing for The MLS All-Stars?

Lewandowski is not playing tonight because he was not selected for the MLS All-Star roster.
The timing of his move to Chicago Fire worked against him. He arrived in MLS very late in the selection window and had only one league appearance before the squad was announced.
That left him with little opportunity to show what he could do in the league or build a strong case for selection.
The MLS All-Star squad was put together through fan voting and coach selections, with players who had already featured regularly during the 2026 season having a clear advantage.
Lewandowski may be one of the biggest names to arrive in MLS, but he simply did not have enough games behind him when the roster was finalized.
