LAFC will play its 28th league game of the 2026 MLS season away at FC Dallas. The match today will be between 4th-place FC Dallas and 6th-place LAFC in the Western Conference.
LAFC have only one win in their last five matches, while FC Dallas won three of their last five matches. The match gets more difficult for LAFC tonight as they will play without their star forward Son Heung-min.
In LAFC’s last MLS match, Son Heung-min was crucial in the 2-2 draw with San Jose Earthquakes away at Levi’s Stadium. Son scored and provided an assist last weekend, but the South Korean forward is neither in the starting XI nor on the bench.
Where is LAFC’s Son Heung-min?
Son Heung-min is currently with the South Korean national team for the September-October international break. Son and other players like Denis Bouanga are on international duty while MLS continues.
South Korea played Ecuador last Thursday, and Son Heung-min scored a direct free kick in the second half.

South Korea will play Uruguay on Monday and will close their international break with a friendly match against Venezuela next Friday. Son Heung-min is expected to play in both of South Korea’s next two friendly matches.
LAFC will likely have Son Heung-min back for the MLS match against Austin FC on October 14, 2026 after the international break.
