Why Is Casemiro Not Playing Today for MLS All-Stars?
Casemiro is not playing in today's MLS All-Star Game because he was not selected for the roster, having only just completed his transfer to MLS.
The Brazilian midfielder joined Inter Miami on July 22, 2026, after the MLS All-Star roster had already been finalized and announced on July 8.
He joined Inter Miami on a free transfer at the end of his contract with Manchester United. However, his arrival immediately faced controversy over the discovery rights dispute between LA Galaxy and Inter Miami.

The 34 year old made his debut against CF Montréal in a 1-0 win where he played the whole 90 minutes.
Talking about his future with Inter Miami, the Brazilian said his priority is to bring balance to the team and support his teammates in every way possible.
"It's true that I focus a bit more on the defensive side, so I just want to help my teammates in any way I can. But especially on the defensive side, to bring balance to the team. That's what I want.”
He further added, "And of course, I want to help. Especially the attacking players, the ones up front who have more freedom to play and a lot of quality. We have a player who is one of the best of all time, so that's why we have to help him. We have a great team. We need to keep improving, but we remain strong."
