Inter Miami is a few days away from their third MLS game of the 2026 season against D.C. United. The MLS Champions have already traveled to Washington, D.C., to prepare for the match.
Before the game, Inter Miami had been invited to White House by United States President Donald Trump.
News of this visit was first reported by The Athletic last week. A White House official told The Athletic that the White House had invited Inter Miami.
The White House normally invites teams that have won a major trophy in American sports leagues; MLS champions have visited the White House in previous years, the latest being the Columbus Crew in 2024.
The White House will honor Inter Miami, with Lionel Messi expected to attend the event. Messi was seen traveling with the team's trip to Washington, D.C. earlier today. This would be Lionel Messi's first time at the White House.
