We’re still a few months away from the College Football Playoff, but President Donald Trump is in Knoxville this Saturday to watch two of the best teams in the country.
The 47th president of the United States confirmed earlier this week that he’d be in attendance for Saturday’s game between No. 1 Texas and No. 14 Tennessee. His presence was honored with a pregame flyover from Air Force One.
After Arch Manning and the Longhorns kicked off the game with a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, ABC’s camera crew showed Trump in the crowd at Neyland Stadium.
Fans were a bit surprised the president didn’t bring the first lady, Melania Trump, with him to Neyland Stadium.
With that being said, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn was more than happy to sit next to Trump for the first half of the Texas-Tennessee game.
Blackburn, 74, posted a selfie from Neyland Stadium along with this caption: “Welcome to Tennessee.”
Trump is no stranger to attending marquee events.
Back in January, the president attended the national championship game between Indiana and Miami. Roughly five months later, Trump showed up for Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks.
Trump also attended the 2026 World Cup final at MetLife Stadium.
It’s unclear if Trump plans on attending another regular-season college football game this fall.
