Breaking down how the reception leadboard stands following the second week of training camp.

With training camp progressing, many players have started to stand out among the pack. This includes the players who are starting to break away from the others following the second week in camp when it comes to the receptions. According to Jim Wyatt, here is how the receptions board stands.

No. 1 - Wan'Dale Robinson (26)

With no shock, Wan'Dale Robinson enters the next portion of training camp with the most receptions. Robinson currently has 26 receptions, which is a massive step forward compared to the usual production the Titans have in the slot. This will be key for Ward, as he is going to have to throw to the slot more times than he wants to due to the pressure he will face and the slot being closer to him in most cases.

No. 2 - Elic Ayomanor (21)

Elic Ayomanor is becoming a top option for each of the four quarterbacks, and he is the player that I would personally consider the MVP of training camp thus far. Ayomanor is more than a rotational wide receiver at this point, as he is making a push for the starting job over Calvin Ridley. He is going to be a player with a chance of becoming an elite wide receiver in both route running and reliability.

No. 3 - Tyjae Spears (19)

This is a weird mixture of something fans will want to see along with something fans may not want to see when it comes to a training camp standpoint. The Titans running back being near the top of the receptions leaderboard means two big things. Those things being that he was a checkdown, and Ward was forced to move to his checkdown a ton, while the other factor being that pressure from the defense probably played a part in him doing so. Regardless, this is a major step forward for the No. 2 running back.

Carnell Tate makes the list coming in at No. 4, as he is the rookie wide receiver with the best chance of winning the Rookie of the Year honor in many people's opinion. He has consistently become a top target throughout training camp for Ward and the staff. If he continues to get better like he has throughout camp, then he could be the exact wide receiver that the Titans have lacked since losing A.J. Brown in a trade to the Philadelphia Eagles.
