Belgium vs Egypt is the first group stage match for Group G and it will be played at Seattle Stadium in Seattle, Washington. The other teams in the group are Iran and New Zealand, who play each other later tonight.
Belgium is the favorite to win the group, but Egypt is a strong contender to make an upset and win the group over Belgium as well.
In charge of officiating the game today is Brazilian referee Ramon Abatti, who has experience officiating in FIFA competitions. Abatti refereed games in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

He became a FIFA referee in 2021 and was an official in the 2022 World Cup. He also refereed games in the 2024 Paris Olympics. He has also officiated important matches in the Brasileirão since 2020.
The referee team is made up of South American officials, with Abatti's assistant referees also from Brazil.
