Former champions France will play their second Group I fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as they take on Iraq at the Philadelphia stadium today.
Didier Deschamps’ squad are coming off a 3-1 win against Senegal. A victory powered by two goals from Kylian Mbappe and another from PSG's Bradley Barcola.
The French couldn't have hoped for a better start after struggling to find their rhythm in the first half of the match before Mbappe found the back of the net in the 66th minute.
On the other hand, Iraq are heading into the match after suffering a 4-1 loss against Norway.
Erling Haaland scored a brace in the first half but Aymen Hussein was able to pull one back for Iraq in the 39th minute.

Leo Ostigard added one more goal for Norway before Hussein conceded an own goal late into stoppage time.
Ahead of the match against France, head coach Graham Arnold will be well aware of the threat posed by France's formidable attack, but he will be expecting a strong performance from his squad.
