Germany has already booked its place in the 2026 World Cup Round of 32 after two wins over Curaçao and Cote D'Ivoire, but the Mannschaft still needs a result to guarantee top spot in the group.
Ecuador's situation is far more delicate. After losing to Cote D'Ivoire and a scoreless draw against Curaçao, La Tri needs a positive result to be one of the best-third teams in the ranking and could be enough to push them into the Round of 32.
