While President Donald Trump has largely dismissed this year's Super Bowl due to yet another disagreement with the NFL, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is at least willing to make it clear that she's not staying neutral on the game.

Ahead of Super Bowl LX, Leavitt ended Thursday's White House press briefing by reiterating that President Trump would not be making his own prediction on the game. But she said that she'll be picking the New England Patriots to beat the Seattle Seahawks since she's from New Hampshire (a stone's throw away from Boston).

“Happy Super Bowl weekend,” Leavitt said. “The president has wisely chosen not to make a prediction in Sunday night’s game. But as a native girl from New Hampshire, go Patriots!”

The Fans Speak

Some Patriots fans immediately grew concerned that Leavitt might have jinxed their beloved team with her prediction, while other fans who despise the Trump administration are taking it as a rallying cry to support the Seahawks.

"And millions of new Seahawks fans are created…" one user remarked on X.

"Cant wait to go thermo nuclear on the Seahawks ML at my local sports book. thanks Leavitt," another remarked.

"Not been interested in the Superbowl and American Football (being a Brit), but go Seahawks!!!!" a third declared.

"Knew I was making the right choice cheering for the Seahawks."

Leavitt grew up in New Hampshire and attended high school in Boston right as Tom Brady and the Patriots were beginning their second dynasty in the 2010s. She returned to New Hampshire to attend Saint Anselm College, graduating in 2019 - right before Brady's final season with the Patriots.

Since then, Leavitt has been entirely dedicated to politics.
