If I'm picking one player whose fantasy value skyrocketed this offseason, it's Tyler Herro.

In Miami, Herro would have been sharing the spotlight with Giannis, Bam Adebayo and a veteran roster built to contend.

Instead, he's in Milwaukee, where the offense has every reason to run through him.

That's exactly what fantasy managers want. More shots. More possessions. More opportunities to create.

Sure, health remains the biggest question after last season's injury-shortened campaign. But if Herro stays on the floor, I think this is the best fantasy situation of his career.

I'd draft him noticeably earlier than I would have just a month ago.

Elite Is Still Elite

Sometimes we overthink these things.

Giannis is still Giannis. Moving to Miami doesn't suddenly make him less dominant.

If anything, I like the move.

Yes, he'll share the floor with Adebayo, and Miami still has to make sure there's enough shooting around those two.

But the Heat know exactly what they're building around.

Giannis is still going to score. He's still going to rebound. He's still going to pile up assists for a player his size.

He's still a top-five fantasy pick in my book.

The supporting cast changed. My confidence in him didn't.

LaMelo Ball

Minnesota Needed Exactly This

Anthony Edwards needed another playmaker. Minnesota found one.

LaMelo Ball instantly gives the Timberwolves another player who can push the pace, create offense and make life easier for everyone around him.

That includes Edwards. But it also helps Ball.

Charlotte often felt like a team trying to figure itself out. Minnesota already has an identity. Ball doesn't have to carry the entire offense every night.

Now, let's acknowledge the obvious: Availability still matters.

Ball has missed too many games over the years for fantasy managers to ignore that history.

But if he stays healthy? His upside remains enormous.

Darius Garland

A Fresh Start Could Be Exactly What He Needed

Sometimes a trade gives a player something he hasn't had in years.

Namely, a clean slate.

With Kawhi Leonard returning to Toronto, Darius Garland walks into Los Angeles with a chance to become the Clippers' unquestioned floor general.

That's exciting from a fantasy perspective. Garland has always been at his best with the ball in his hands.

Now he'll have every opportunity to run the offense, set the pace and remind everyone why he became an All-Star in the first place.

I'm expecting one of his better fantasy seasons.

Not because he suddenly became a better player. But because his situation became much cleaner.

Kel'el Ware

Don't Sleep on the Young Big Man

Not every offseason winner is an All-Star.

So, yes, Kel'el Ware deserves a mention.

Milwaukee is clearly thinking about the future, and Ware suddenly has a legitimate path toward meaningful minutes.

Big men don't always develop overnight. But opportunity matters.

Ware has the size, athleticism and rebounding ability fantasy managers love to gamble on late in drafts.

He's still more of a sleeper than a sure thing.

Nevertheless, those are exactly the types of players I like targeting once the bigger names are off the board.

Naz Reid

A Bigger Opportunity Awaits

Naz Reid has spent years proving he can produce whenever he's given enough minutes. Now he lands in Charlotte with a chance to do exactly that on a more consistent basis.

The Hornets needed another dependable frontcourt scorer. Reid needed a larger role. That feels like a pretty good match.

I don't think he'll suddenly become an All-Star. I do think he'll outperform where many fantasy managers draft him.

Sometimes that's all you're looking for.

If I'm moving players up because of this offseason, here's my order:

We Are Still Not Done, Lots Of Work Ahead

The NBA offseason isn't finished.

More trades are coming. More free-agent signings will reshape rotations. Somebody else will probably surprise us before training camp even begins.

But as things stand today, these are the players I believe helped themselves the most.

Herro lands in a situation built around his scoring. Ball joins a team that desperately needed another creator. Garland keeps gets the keys to the Clippers' offense. Giannis remains one of fantasy basketball's safest superstars.

And don't forget about Naz Reid and Kel'el Ware.
