Spain and Belgium meet today with a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinals on the line.
Both teams have enjoyed impressive runs to the quarterfinals after defeating formidable opponents in the Round of 16. Spain edged Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal 1-0, while Belgium produced a dominant 4-1 victory over co-hosts the United States.
The two sides also topped their respective groups before advancing through the knockout stage.
Spain's defense has been one of the biggest stories of the tournament. La Roja have not conceded a goal in five matches, while goalkeeper Unai Simón has set a new World Cup record with 609 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal.
Spain vs. Belgium Venue, City & Stadium
The Spain vs. Belgium World Cup quarterfinal is being played at SoFi Stadium, officially known as Los Angeles Stadium for the tournament, in Inglewood, California.

The venue has already hosted seven matches during the group stage and the Round of 32.
Spain has already played a match here against Austria in the Round of 32 which they won 3-0.
Opened in 2020, SoFi Stadium was built at a cost of around $5 billion, making it the most expensive stadium ever constructed and is home to the NFL's Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.
For the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the stadium has a seating capacity of 70,492 following FIFA's tournament reconfiguration. During the NFL season, it has a capacity of 70,000 spectators.
