Switzerland is preparing for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with an experienced squad led by captain Granit Xhaka.
Players such as Manuel Akanji, Gregor Kobel, Denis Zakaria and Breel Embolo are among the key names for head coach Murat Yakin heading into the tournament.
Switzerland have remained one of the more consistent European national teams in recent years, reaching the quarter-finals of UEFA Euro 2024.
Yakin has continued to rely on a group of experienced international players while also including younger talent in the squad.

Reports also noted the inclusion of forward Zeki Amdouni, who returned after injury during the second half of the season. Yakin has kept faith in several players who have previously performed well for the national team.
The Swiss Football Association began revealing parts of the squad through social media posts on May 18 and May 19. Because of this rollout, some fans believed the announcement had already taken place earlier in the week.
