Inter Miami vs. Cruz Azul is the 2026 Campeones Cup Final at Nu Stadium. The Campeones Cup pits the current MLS champions against the current Liga MX champions.
The Campeones Cup has been an annual match since 2018; MLS and Liga MX consider it an official trophy, but CONCACAF and FIFA do not recognize it.
The Campeones Cup has been played 7 times, and Liga MX teams have won it more times than MLS teams. Liga MX teams won it 4 times, with Tigres UANL winning it twice. Only Atlanta United, Columbus Crew, and New York City FC have won this trophy for MLS.
Last year, LA Galaxy hosted Toluca FC at the Dignity Health Sports Park. Toluca won the trophy after beating LA Galaxy 3-2.

How Inter Miami and Cruz Azul Reached the 2026 Campeones Cup Final
Inter Miami won their first MLS Cup last season, defeating the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 at Chase Stadium on December 6, 2025.
For this edition, Toluca were in contention to play in the Campeones Cup again after winning back-to-back league titles in Liga MX.
However, Cruz Azul won the 2026 Clausura, and both teams needed to play each other in the Campeón de Campeones Final to determine the Liga MX team in the Campeones Cup. Cruz Azul defeated Toluca 3-1 in the Campeón de Campeones Final in July.
For tonight’s 2026 Campeones Cup Final, the match will go to a penalty shootout if the match remains tied after 90 minutes; there is no extra time.
