The Netherlands enters its final Group F match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Tunisia sitting comfortably at the top of the table.
The Dutch currently have four points and a +4 goal difference, and the best chance to qualify for the next round among the teams in the group.
Ronald Koeman’s side began the World Cup with a 2-2 draw against Japan, which they followed up with a dominant 5-1 victory over Sweden.
Tunisia, on the other hand, comes into this fixture having lost both of their group stage matches and have already been mathematically eliminated from the tournament following the defeats.
The African nation opened its World Cup with a 5-1 loss to Sweden and followed it with a 4-0 defeat against Japan.
Netherlands World Cup Knockout Qualification Scenarios
If the Netherlands Win:
A victory easily puts the Netherlands into the Round of 32 knockout stage. Winning the game takes them to seven points, ensuring they finish no lower than second place.
To win Group F outright, they need to match or better Japan's result against Sweden. If both the Netherlands and Japan win, the top spot will be decided by goal difference, then goals scored, where the Dutch currently hold an edge.

If the Netherlands Draw:
A tie brings the Netherlands to five points, which guarantees a top-two finish and direct entry into the knockout stage.
If Japan beats Sweden, Japan wins the group with seven points, and the Dutch qualify as runners-up. If Japan draws with Sweden, both the Netherlands and Japan finish on five points, meaning the group winner will be decided by goal difference.
If Sweden beats Japan, Sweden wins the group with six points, and the Netherlands finish second with five points.
If the Netherlands Lose:
A surprise loss to Tunisia will leave the Oranje stuck on four points, and their final position will depend entirely on the other match.
If Japan beats Sweden in their match, the Netherlands finish second and qualify automatically. If Japan and Sweden draw, the Netherlands and Sweden tie on four points for second, decided by goal difference.
If Sweden beats Japan, the Netherlands and Japan tie on four points for second, also decided by goal.
