We’ve got two weeks of drive data in place, and it’s no surprise that there has been plenty of movement in the offensive, defensive and overall Drive Dominance Rankings.
As a reminder, the Drive Dominance Ranking is Athlon Sports’ proprietary new NFL statistic that takes a few different drive data points to create a 0-100 score. The Jacksonville Jaguars had the No. 1 overall score after Week 1, but they’ve slipped down to No. 6 after a Week 2 loss to the Denver Broncos. The NFC West now leads the pack, with the San Francisco 49ers at No. 1 and the Seattle Seahawks at No. 2.
Some takeaways from the updated rankings going into Week 3:
• The 49ers went from No. 3 to No. 1 overall (76.8), but the defending champion Seahawks made a bigger jump — from No. 15 to No. 2.
• Three teams, all 2-0, rank in the top 10 in both offense and defense: The 49ers, Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs.
• While none of the eight 0-2 teams are ranked in the top 10 for offense, the winless Atlanta Falcons can at least take a positive out of the fact they rank No. 6 in defense.

• The New York Giants’ precipitous drop is symbolic of the crushing blow they were dealt when quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a possible season-ending knee injury Monday night. The Giants ranked No. 1 for offensive DDR after Week 1, and they dropped 10 spots after Jameis Winston’s struggles in the 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Overall, they fell from No. 6 to No. 21.
• The Rams, meanwhile, had the week’s biggest turnaround, from No. 30 overall to No. 14. Even without Myles Garrett, defense led the way. The Rams’ defensive DDR went from No. 28 to No. 12.
• The Arizona Cardinals had the largest point drop in the league, going from No. 7 overall after the upset win over the Los Angeles Chargers to No. 24 after losing to Seattle.
