Kristaps Porzingis was out of action again for the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. The 7-foot-2 big man has missed two straight games for his team due to an illness, and Porzingis was not fit enough to take the court against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.
The Warriors still secured a big win despite Porzingis’ absence. They blew out the Grizzlies, 133-112, in a road game at FedExForum.
Brandin Podziemski led the charge for Golden State, registering 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Will Richard also had a strong performance with 21 points, six assists and three steals.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke to reporters ahead of the game. The four-time NBA champion coach shared an update on Porzingis, who recently joined the team this month. The Warriors sent Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga to the Atlanta Hawksin exchange for Porzingis.
Kerr had a mixed update on Porzingis. He had both good and bad news.
"He’s getting better," Kerr said. "I didn’t talk to him today, but our training staff did. He’s just been really sick, but making some improvements, so we’ll see how he is."
The fact that Porzingis is still “really sick” is not a good thing. However, Kerr has remained optimistic about the 30-year-old. In fact, the Warriors coach said that he’s hopeful Porzingis will be able to return for their next game.
The Warriors are back in action on Saturday. They will host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in a home game at Chase Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.
