If the Warriors wish to maximize their championship window around superstar Steph Curry, general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. has some consequential decisions to make.
Players such as Kristaps Porzingis and Brandin Podziemski are eligible for contract extensions this offseason, but the organization's biggest priority may involve Steph Curry's contract situation. The 38-year-old two-time NBA MVP is eligible for a two-year contract extension worth up to $136.7 million, and he remains the centerpiece of the Warriors both on and off the court.

While Golden State continues to evaluate the future of the team, Curry’s influence off the basketball court continues to grow. Since debuting his first signature shoe in 2015 and launching the Curry Brand with Under Armour in 2020, Curry has been one of the league’s most recognizable and marketable stars on and off the court.
On Monday, Curry announced another major development for the brand, revealing in a video posted to his Instagram that Curry Brand has entered into a new long-term global partnership with Chinese sportswear company Li-Ning.
Curry Brand has entered into a 10-year partnership with Li-Ning that extends beyond basketball footwear. Plans include dedicated Curry Brand retail stores, expansion into athleisure and golf products, and the ability for Curry to recruit and sign athletes under the Curry Brand umbrella.
After missing 39 games this season, Curry, a four-time NBA champion, will hope to return healthy and help Golden State bounce back during the 2026-27 campaign. After averaging 26.6 points per game and earning another All-Star selection this year, the veteran guard remains the franchise's most important figure.
While Curry and the Warriors will both focus on returning to championship contention, Curry has continued to establish a brand that will remain impactful long after his playing career comes to an end.
