Warriors Reveal Stephen Curry, Kristaps Porzingis Injury Updates Before Kings Game

The Golden State Warriors will be at home on Tuesday night as they face off against the Sacramento Kings in a Western Conference matchup.

Of course, Golden State enters Tuesday’s contest with a 36-42 record after losing at home to the Houston Rockets on Sunday night.

Now the Warriors will try to pick up a key victory at home over a struggling Kings team as look to gain momentum during the final week of the regular season before the Play-In Tournament begins next week.

While the Warriors are looking to pick up a victory in Tuesday night’s matchup against the Kings, they may be without two of their key players due to injuries.

Warriors Announce Injury Updates for Stephen Curry, Kristaps Porzingis

Ahead of Tuesday’s game against Sacramento, Golden State provided injury updates for both Stephen Curry and Kristaps Porzingis.

For Curry, the Warriors are listing the star guard as probable for Tuesday’s matchup and he is expected to play despite dealing with a lingering right knee injury.

Of course, Curry returned from a 27-game absence due to his knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Rockets where he recorded 29 points, two rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes off the bench.

While Curry is expected to play against the Kings on Tuesday, it is likely that the Warriors will continue to limit his minutes and they may even elect to bring him off the bench once again as they try to manage his injury before the Play-In Tournament.

On the other side, the Warriors have listed Porzingis as questionable due to right knee soreness and he is in danger of missing his first game since April 1.

For Porzingis, he has struggled to stay on the court this season due to a mix of injuries and illnesses and with him now listed on Golden State’s injury report with a knee issue, it may not be a great sign for the Warriors as the playoffs near.

If Porzingis is sidelined against the Kings, Draymond Green, Charles Bassey, Gary Payton II and Will Richard could all be in line for increased roles.
